British Airways Statement In Response To The CAA’s Q6 Price Proposals

In response to the Civil Aviation Authority’s (CAA) initial price proposals for London airports, Willie Walsh, chief executive of IAG, British Airways’ parent company, said:

“Heathrow airport is over-priced, over-rewarded and inefficient and these proposals, which will result in an increase in prices, fail to address this situation.

British Airways signs Justin Rose

British Airways has signed an exclusive three-year partnership with world number three golfer, Britain’s Justin Rose, to become his Official Global Airline Partner.

Justin will support the airline’s global marketing activity, including personal appearances, media and PR, internal engagement and supporting Flying Start – the airline’s charity partnership with Comic Relief. Justin’s Tour apparel will now feature the British Airways logo on his shirt collar, starting with the first Major of the season, the US Masters taking place in Augusta this week (11-14 April).

British Airways to Extend New “Hand Baggage Only” Fares at Gatwick

 

British Airways is to extend its range of “hand baggage only” fares to all of its 32 short-haul routes at Gatwick Airport.

The new type of fare, which launched last month, is already proving popular with customers on the initial five destinations from Gatwick – Amsterdam, Dubrovnik, Jersey, Tunis and Turin.
